Virelle is just getting started. The idea was born in our home kitchen, friends arriving, food cooking, and the realisation that the ingredients we love deserved better tools. That moment led to a fascination with Japanese knife-making, sustainable materials and the belief that a truly great kitchen knife can bring real joy to everyday cooking. We’re early in the journey now, shaping our first batch and preparing to share more as we move toward launching in late 2025 / early 2026.

Our first knives blend Japanese-forged high-carbon steel with Australian-made handles crafted from post-consumer plastic, all produced in small batches and hand-assembled in Sydney. Every knife is unique by nature - balanced, purposeful, and designed with the same care we bring to the meals we cook.
